Store
The Store is a main menu tab where you can purchase all sorts of Predecessor items, from heroes to cosmetic items like skins.
Currencies
In Predecessor, there are three forms of currency that are used for purchasing Heroes and Cosmetics within the game.
Amber - Amber is a free in-game currency that you can earn by playing the game and leveling your player account up. Amber is used for unlocking heroes, purchasing Hero Affinity and certain bundles.
Platinum - Platinum is the premium currency that you can buy in the store. Platinum is used for all other purchasable options including heroes, skins, account borders, sprays and more.
Opals - Opals are a free in-game currency that you can earn from certain battle pass events and opening loot cores. Opals are used for unlocking skins, profile pictures, banners and other cosmetics.
Purchasing Heroes
Whilst some heroes are given for free when launching the game, many may cost Amber or Platinum to obtain. These prices may vary depending on newest releases, sales, bundles and discounts.
Skins
Hero Skins are Cosmetics in Predecessor that affect the hero's appearance when playing within the game. These cosmetics can range from simple texture recolours to full scale model and visual effect changes.
Currently, Hero skins can be purchased with Platinum
, while variants often can be purchased with Amber or Opals. Sometimes skins may be subject to discount or part of bundles with other cosmetic items such as sprays and profile icons.
Bundles
Bundles are a special promotional item sold in Predecessor. Often times these bundles come with exclusive Hero Skins, banners and other cosmetics items.
Loot Cores
Loot Cores are the Predecessor's equivalent of lootboxes. They have a chance to drop skins, sprays, Opals, icons and banners. They can be purchased with Amber.
