An Elimination is the terminology used for both Kills and Assists universally. Any Passive, Item, or Mechanic that refers to Eliminations will take into account both. In contradiction, an Elimination will only give credit for either a Kill or Assist when in reference to an Item or Passive. For example Countess.png Countess' Blood Tithe will only give one stack per Kill or Assist, not giving 2 if she were to get an Elimination that resulted in her getting the credit for the kill, and an ally getting the assist.

Kills

Kills are only credited to the Hero that deals the final instance of damage to a dying Target, killing multiple enemies without dying will give you a Killstreak, increasing your Bounty value. Additionally, a continuous streak of kills within 12 seconds of each other will result in a Multi-Kill. This has no increase in Icon Gold.png Gold or XP values, and is purely cosmetic by nature. But will be called out vocally by the Announcer. The 12 second countdown resets between kills.

First Blood happens when you get the first kill of the match, First Bloods grant an extra Icon Gold.png 100 to the killer.

Assists

An Assist occurs when a Hero you damaged dies within 12 seconds of your last damage instance.

Kills and assists grant the same amount of XP, but assists only grant half the gold reward. Assists wont grant more than Icon Gold.png 150.

Bounties

If a Hero gets multiple Eliminations without dying, they will have a Bounty. Killing a Hero with a Bounty will grant more rewards based on the Bounty value. Each part of the bounty is calculated using a system of tiers numbered from -6 to 8. Kill bounties in higher tiers are bigger. Each champion starts the match in the bounty tier 0 and moves to other tiers as they kill enemies or die. Consecutive kills move a champion to a higher tier, while consecutive deaths move them to a lower tier.

Bounty increases by Icon Gold.png 50 when an enemy gets 300 more Icon Gold.png Gold from Minions than their opponent. It further increases by Icon Gold.png 50 for every Icon Gold.png 200 since then.

Revenant.png Revenant's Passive grants him additional Icon Gold.png 25 per bounty stack.
