Attack Speed

Attack speed is the rate at which your Hero can use their Basic Attacks. It has a Hard Cap of 3 attacks per second, which is usually equates to around 350-420% Attack speed for most Heroes. If possible, pushing beyond this cap will offer nothing, and thus be a wasted statistic to continue building into. You can see your attack timer on your Ability Bar as the fourth widget.

Attack speed also some effects on specific Heroes. For instance, Crunch's Ability Cast Times are reduced the more Attack Speed he has, and Revenant's Hellfire Round's will have a shorter reload time.
