Feng Mao is a playable character in Predecessor. He is from Sylmara.
Lore
Feng Mao had it all. His skill with the glaive was peerless, leading him to hold a prestigious position as a commander of the King of Nyr's personal guard. With success, however, came pride and greed. His cockiness led to disaster, and with the fall of the royal he was charged to protect, he was cast out of his old life, forced to wander Sylmara as a nomad: broken and ashamed.
As he journeyed alone, he vowed never to repeat his mistakes, learning discipline until it shaped him into a master of both body and mind. He eventually took on apprentices, becoming a teacher to many who sought his finely-honed skills. Even the reckless Wukong, who mirrored the arrogance Feng Mao once carried, sought him out. Through this tense interaction, he came to understand that when students refuse to learn humility, his only choice is to teach them the hard way.
Now, glaive in hand and pipe at his side, Feng Mao walks a quiet path, seeking a peace he may never find.
